1- Clear description for each of the products/services being purchased. It includes things like: quality specifications, packing, grading…etc.
2- Approved suppliers list for each of the products/services being purchased. It is critical to define the type of suppliers that fits our requirements.
3- Consistent supplier evaluation mechanism. In order to appropriately fulfill item no. 2, it is important to have a procedure to always ensure that our suppliers meet our criterion.
4- Effective documentation system for auditing and future references. Any process must be properly documented to comply with the approved good management practices.
